I do belive that all propane tanks are dated. However, they can be recertifed and reinstalled. I wasn't even going to worry about it on my 82 camper but my dad who works for a propane dealer covinced me otherwise. They took it and tested it and threw some paint on it. Now I'm good for another 12 years. If your worried or the tank is shot, new ones can be purchased from either the dealer, expensive but possible, or call manchester tank, 800-887-8265. Here's a cute storie my friend Dale Ward told me. One time he was at the propane dealer filling the tank and another man was waiting to fill his tank (gas grill or somthing) and the man filling the camper tank asked how long a fill up lasted. Dale told him that his lasts him most of the summer. The man waiting overheard the conversation and spoke up and said "WOW you drive all summer on that little tank. Maybe I should get one of these campers." =) Take care. -- -Jim DiGennaro --------------------------------------------------------------------- LiMBO, The Late Model Bus Organization, international zzzzzzzzzzzzz_ |E[__][__]|[_]\\ '82 'GTi' Westfalia | _ LiMBO | _ || 'The VW DJ' =-( )-------( )-= James Digennaro, LiMBO's Editor and Web master. 20 First St. URL: http://www.bcn.net/~limbo/ Adams, MA 01220 ICQ# 5534528 LiMBO LINE: (413) 743-1814 'Transporters By The Tunnel' - A fun camping event - July 17th -21st --------------------------------------------------------------------- |
