Tell you what - locate copper downpipes at a specialty building supply house (about 2.5" OD), have the muffler shop bend them, add a bead at the appropriate place (dead easy to put a bead on copper) and there you are. No corrosion, dissipates heat well, looks nice too (in case you roll the van).
