I'm sorry for the misleading information. I guess the van I looked at
had replacement seats (or covers), which were velour- but much nicer
than mine!!! They sure weren't the crappy cord stuff you mentioned- I
know what you mean; VW put some of that upholstery in their passenger
cars, and a Jetta that a friend of mine drives has the worst looking
driver's seat. Looks nice when it's new...

While we're on this thread, I can tell you that there are no rear seat
armrests on my back seat.
