I need to change the transmission oil in my vanagon (4-speed manual transmission). I have checked Bentley, but there is no mention of how to drain the old oil. I believe the filling procedure is to pump the oil into the fill plug that is about half way up on the left forward part of the transmission until the level is even with the bottom of the hole. Is this correct. Any hints on draining the old oil.
