Subject: changing auto tranny fluid

Hey Volks, I'm starting my spring maintence on my new 85 and want to change the auto tranny fluid. I looked at the tranny and in the Bently but can't find a drain bolt. Help? Bently talks about how to fill it and where but not how to drain it (unless I missed it, which is possible). Also, does anyone have a suggestion on any hot auto tranny oil that will make my tranny last forever. I am changing the oil in an attempt to cure a leak. The tranny seems to have oil all over it and the oil level is higher than the marks on the dip stick(when warm). I want to drain some out to bring it to the correct level so I figured why not change it all since the van was new to me and I have no idea how old the current oil is. I checked the final drive oil level and that seems ok. The engine drips oil by the drain plug but not to bad. Any ideas on the tranny leak would be helpful. TIA. I sent this to the old address the first time, I hope that doesn't mess people up.

Thanks, Thanks,

Stephen Davis 85 Westie
