Subject: Amsoil By-Pass Filter - Questions
Comments: To: vanagon@likeminds.com

Hi List Volks:

It looks as if Spring is coming early to these parts this year. So, for pre-roadtrip season readiness, I want to install Amsoil's By-pass filter kit in my '89 Syncro. This is the kit, "system", with two oil filters: one is full flow, the other is, well, the...By-pass filter! I know a few of you have done this already. Therefore, if any of you would like to share your tips on the system (what are the parts/part numbers to get), installation, location in the engine compartment, use tips, etc. I'd most certainly appreciate it.

As an aside:

I ordered all sorts of expensive vital liquids and lubricants from Redline today. Stay tuned for fluid-change and CV regrease-job reports! (Should be entertianing to y'all.)
