both made by Eberspacher. the BN4 was the earlier style, mostly used up till '74, located in the left side of the engine compartment of the bus. it looked like a "torpedo". the BA6 was the flat ovalish "muffler" looking gas heater mounted under the center floor of the bus/van, inline w/ the main heater duct from htr boxes to front. this was used from '75 to '83 (approx) the BA6 is a great heater when properly maintained. it puts out nearly 50,000 BTU, alot more than the BN4. chris |
