hey ric and list, yep, like i posted earlier in the week, my local dealer has order codes, option codes, color codes, etc. but definitive sales price. he said they are taking "tentative" orders, which he explained to mean they place the order with vw for the van. my wife placed one for the multivan :-) he also said there will be three base models. the 7 pass, multivan, and full camper converted by winnebago. no full westies yet :-( anyway, he said they are to be '99 model years and should be available by fall/winter with brochures available by summer. lastly, he disagreed with the 2500 import number and said they'll ship over more if they get the orders. looks like our '85 westy will be up on the block later this year. have a great weekend! tony RGOLEN@UMASSD.EDU wrote: > > I was at my local VW dealer checking on the status of my New Beetle's > arrival (I'm getting the first one delivered to my dealer).
