Dane, Go to the Volkswagen Bus Web Server. The URL is: http://www.automatrix.com/~skip/volkswagen Click on the link for "Technical Tips" and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page- past all those links that don't work- and find the link for model year differences for Bus 1980-1991. At the top of the page the link takes you to will have VIN interpretation for the bus. Then you can figure it out. :) Sam
