>I can't wait much longer and I do not want to get taken to the cleaners. Can >anyone point me to a supplier with good parts for a reasonable price? Hi, FYI a factory rebuild here in Canada is $2900Cdn, and they want a core. This is about $1900US. I'd have a hard time justifying parts and even my $0.50/hr. labour rate compared to this price. Not to mention getting a warranty thrown in. Unless maybe you are only doing a quickie partial rebuild of top end/rings. This however can lead to main bearing failure down the road as the newly restored compression loads the soggy mains to their original level but they are well worn and not providing adequate bearing/oil support. bye, Tim |
