Good God, Bacchus, I hope what I think isn't true. I thought a car I was driving at the time had a noisy lifter, and it had that diesel-type sound- turned out it was throwing a rod!!!! If there is absolutely nothing wrong with your lifters after a second opinion, it looks like some case-splittin' fun. I certainly hope this isn't the case, but don't be surprised.
