Call me superstitious or maybe even a fool, but I believe that the key to slowing the corrosion that causes heads to leak on Vanagons is to change the coolant annually and use only the Autobahn (VW) juice. I would be very leery of using an "extended life" coolant with the goal being to not change the coolant as often as VW recommends. This is my philosophy and it's worked for me so far--95K miles and my heads are still bone dry. -Mark McCulley At 10:36 PM 3/8/98 -0800, DAVID MOST wrote: >I'm using it now, and I've been told by reputable mechanics that it's >fine. > >David >'87 camper (non-GL) > >On Sun, 8 Mar 1998, Stephen Davis wrote: > >> Hey Volks >> Do any of you have any experience with Texico Havoline Extended Life >> coolant (dex cool)?
