Well my right CV joint has just begun thumping only four months after I replaced the left one. I thought that I heard that it is possible to reverse the CV joint instead of buying a new one... Is this true? If it is, is it possible to remove the drive shaft and turn it around. I realize I will need to replace the boot, but I figured it might make sense to reverse the direction of the inner joint too. I don't see any reason why this couldn't be done, but I am still a little leery. My friend asked me if I could ask about a part for him. He owns an 84 Westy and is looking to replace the plastic utility hook up flaps that are installed on the left side of the van. Do any of you have a spare lying around or know where he could find one. Any responses are appreciated. Thanks. |
