Hello, I had 'forgotten' about the pin shearing off the 1/2 fork and just before it breaks it can cause difficulty in shifting into either 1st or 2nd gear. I did a '84 091-1 box last month with just this problem and failed to mention it as a potential source of the hard shift into 2nd for Jill. Also, I cannot stress this enough is the use of the synthetic GL4 in this trans! Big time 'sticky' syncros can result by not using this type of gear oil. Todd Hill VolksWerks Transaxles Olympia, WA |
