This of interest to me because I have a 1982 Diesel Camper that has a 1.6 liter. This engine failed and it is in my local garage awaiting a 1985 VW Quantum turbodiesel. I will use my 4-speed transmission but have considered upgrading to the 5-speed. Dave in the USA. >> Intersting, Dave-in-the-USA. I have one 1982 Diesel Westfalia Camper also. My choice, however, was to put in an 8V GTI motor. Nice revy little thing with 108HP. The conversion was discussed at length, two times in hotVW's magazine. I am, however, selling the little beast for lack of funds...this Saturday - tomorrow! I am still interested in anything that comes up with the "S4 in a T4" (almost sound like the correct alphabetical progression doesn't it?) Steve-in-the-USA |
