<< If you are speaking of Kennedy Engineering, I had the same problem. Was advising that the Corvair was a marginal engine for the bus but everyone I have talked to says is was pretty good engine. Maybe there's that perfect engine and Corvair and Audi aren't them. Maybe it's a 350 Chevy or die. Good Travels! >>
<yep...Hobart Kennedy seems pretty set in his ways about what engines he reccomends, and his ways aren't necessarily the best. maybe if he gets enough feedback from Vgon owners, he'd look into the audi 5 cyl... can't afford his $1200 subaru setup, plus the cost of a Legacy 2.2 engine... audi 5cyls are cheap, and virtually maint free..> ----I agree with this, I had an 85 5000 quattro and the drivetrain outlasted the rest of the vehicle, no major problems in 190k. Also, chris, our S.African sales guy declined to help out with any purchases from of grilles....etc. Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Have a good weekend all.
