My guesses, somewhat in order: Pistons in #1 & #2 installed upside-down, and have worn out the cylinder walls Ring gaps not spaced correctly on installation Broken rings Burnt Valves/Bad seats Cracked head?? Use your trusty vaccume gauge to check whether it is valve related. My guess is, it is not.
