Well, we're getting close to the fateful date (had the midwives do the home visit tonight), and my wife has put me in charge of shopping for the kid's car seat(s). At the moment, we're planning on getting two, one to go in my Vanagon, one to stay in her Toyota. The good news is that we've already inherited one seat, a pretty nice convertable model made by a now-defunct company called Renolux. That one will probably go in the Vanagon, so we are shopping for a seat to go in Jane's Corolla. I'll be attaching the kid seat in the middle seat in my 85 GL till I get my Multivan interior. Then, depending on the stability, I may be putting the kid in the rear-facing seat behind the driver. That said, what kind of advice do you all have for transporting kids in a Vanagon? Any recommendations on brands/models? (the Renolux is a great seat, but the company is out of business. I also like the idea of a convertable seat that can handle an infant and a toddler) Thanks, Bob 85GL, 72 wife, 95 cat, 96 cat, 94 rabbit and April 98 Kid |
