123 ft lbs? I haven't checked the Bentley yet, but I agee that sounds way too high. Is there a concern that with anything less these are going to loosen up? I have had problems in the past on other vehicles with the air wrench jockeys cranking the lug nuts down to a zillion ft.lbs. It contibutes to warping brake rotors! (maybe this is not an issue with the solid rotors on the Vanagon, it has happened to me on the more fragile vented rotors). At what point does the pressure start revising the shape of the alloy wheel lug nut seats? As you all say- my 2 cents. Gary |
