My mechanic basically said any coolant made for aluminum block engines will work fine. Most coolant today which says 'protection for today's aluminum parts' or similiar should work just fine. Just be regular about changes; about once a year. It seems all these gasket problems people have are not consistent. People have these problems regardless of the type, whether it's vw's or not. Just use stuff made for aluminum block engines and components regardless if it is pink, blue, green, or chartreuse. Any opinions??? smanning '84 westy |
