Subject: 97 Furnace & battery

Last week, I bought a 1997 Eurovan camper with 28,000 kms. I drove it home in two long days and slept overnight on the way. At 4:30 on the first morning I was awakened by the propane warning. The battery had run down and the fan was not blowing.

The next night I only slept four hours at a stretch. When I woke up and checked the battery guage it was still green which was encouraging but the experience has left me wondering. Is battery life a problem when the furnace needs to run much of the time on a very cold night? (It was Northern Ontario and temperature was probably in the -20C range that night.)

Thanks, Terry
