More info on my '87 van for sale... In addition to my earlier post, VW just gave me a price of $225 to install a new clutch kit/assy. and $50 to put in one of the water pipes from front to back (I had the other one replaced a while ago). I may be able to get all this done under the $2800 ceiling for the engine replacement. The muffler bracket parts I need for the new muffler are $208, but I'll get the new muffler installed for the new owner (I have a lifetime warranty on my muffler, but it doesn't travel to the new owner. I have to do the replacement while I still own the car).
