Ummmmmm Karl?......*classic* sign of ECU failure....it tends to be a thermal problem and I've limped 'em home by pulling the boards out of the black box and letting the air curculate around them..a friend once installed a 12v cooling fan over a cut out in the plastic ECU cover and got 2 years before it stopped dead.... There is a *reason* my car is an 85...Late door, late dash, plastic coolant lines forged contol arms and a *bulletproof* ECU...I know how to work on cars...and I don't need to paractice on my own....... I would think about getting and carrying a spare ecu.... i spent 4 hours on the side of rt 81 in PA in the snow trying to get the syncro to move....*not* your basic "Large Time"......

steve........
