hello, i see you are from South Africa... welcome to the Vanagon list.. as far as I know, you're the Vanagon List's first South African listmember. I have been trying to get in touch w/ someone in SA, and get some info together for the purchase of those Quad round driving light grilles that are offered on the new "Microbuses" as you call them (Vanagons to us in Noth America) that are being made in south africa.

what kind of van do you own? a Microbus, or a Caravelle?

also, i had a few more questions...does the new South African Caravelle 5cyl come in an automatic trans? and is the rear deck height raised on the 5 cyl models, as opposed to the 4cyl models?

i was just wondering if you could help me out in getting some info from your local VW agent (dealer, to us) also, there are a few listmembers that would actually be interested in purchasing a brand new south african 5cyl Vanagon (Caravelle)... do you know anything about SA's policy of exporting vehicles? just curious...

thank you for any help you can give...
