Subject: VANAGON LIST NOT DOWN - YOUR ADMINS

The vanagon list is not down. List traffic exceeded 100 mesages for the day, Friday/Saturday. When this threshold is reached the server automatically "stops" processing all new messages. This is something we (the admins) established to keep the server I/O's from being overworked. You say 100 messages isn't much ... well this translates into 80,000+ messages that the list server must process. We will see about up'ing the threshold, but we beseech one-n'-all to use a little discretion when sending, replying, and/or forwarding mail to the list.

Your neighborly vanagon list admins,

Ron Lussier Chris Smith
