I have had this done on my vanagon by the PO (by the dealer). Unfortunately they did a terrible job and did not bore the hole straight and marred up the sealing surface.

I now have to use teflon tape and the aircooled drain plug gasket (hollow copper crush gasket)

I would reccomend a good machinist.
