My brother races in the SCCA and while browsing through one of his racing supply catalogs I came across some interesting items.

First is a fire extinguishing system which is cable pull activated and uses discharge tubing and nozzles to distribute your choice of either Halon or CEA-614. A 5 lb system complete with pull cable, actuating head, bottle and brackets and two nozzles costs $300 for Halon and $325 for the CEA-614. Neither material leaves any residue. Sounds like a nice system as you can mount the bottle anywhere you want and put the discharge nozzles in the engine compartment. The cable pull is a nice red T handle with "FIRE" imprinted across it.

Second is an air/fuel ratio monitor which hooks up to your O2 sensor and graphically depicts your air/fuel ratio under any conditions (idle, part throttle, full throttle, etc.). There are three different versions ranging from $99 to $169, and can either be permanently or temporarily mounted.

Third, on an application page for high performance brake pads, stuck among the Ferraris, Porsches, M-Bs and whatnot, was the 1980-85 Vanagon. From looking at the part number, it seems that it shares the same disc pads as some of the Porsche 911s! Anyone want any high performance brake pads for their 1980-85 Vanagon, they are available.

The name of the company is Racer Wholesale, they're located in Roswll, GA. Scott '84 Westy (apparently with Porsche-type brake pads!)
