Hmmm... my 1.9l will do 85 easy on the level @ 500' if there is no
wind, a little more if I advance the timing. [Makes me wish for a
manual timing advance]
Could something be out of adjustment in yours?  Check timing first.
I've got an automatic if that makes any difference.  Anyone else have
a clue why Jeff can't do 85?

P.S. I don't like running wide open for any lenght of time, usually
back off to 65 until I can find a truck to follow.>
