Hi volks,

on my '87 Westi, the headlights are working, but on each side, the larger rectangular lenses are cracked to some extent. one has multiple small cracks and even a chunk or 2 of glass [?] missing on a corner. The other has just one small hole, resembling a very small caliber bullet hole. there's been some condensation inside, or maybe rain gets in. That's IT! -- i can blame this, too, on el nin~o <s>

anyway, i was looking into buying some used headlight assemblies ['87 being parted out] that i saw on some "classifieds" website. owner wants $100 + shpg for both.

but someone told me yesterday that all i need to do is go to Pep Boys or other FLAPS and replace the sealed beams for just a few $ apiece.

any advice will be appreciated.

gail, enjoying a bright but cloudy day in Sacramento, measuring Westi curtains, preparing for my next project :)
