Thanks to all for your mileage experiences. I seem to be a bit lower than most of you but then maybe I was pretty heavily loaded with gear and that was a heck of a weather system we drove through last week. We had one 60 degree warm day on the Rio Grand!

Also thanks for the revving solutions, I'll check them out once the new round of snow goes away. I also forgot to mention that we took the trip on a new set of Yoko's from the Tire Rack. They are a bit noisier than the Bridgestones I took off but not to bad and they did handle nice in some very strong cross winds. Some of those bursts in the Houston area were in the 40 mph range and I actually was afraid they might pop the top on the westy! The tires definitely provide more stability.
