First, how has the mail flow been this morning??? Could I have "fallen" off the list again, because I have not gotten anything new mail since last night, and by now I should have at least one thousand new messages????

Second, I have noticed that '86 or '87 vanagons have a little wind blade (metal) permanently fastened to the front windshield wipers, similar to the tacky aftermarket plastic wiper arm (double/triple blades) seen in auto parts stores. Is this an improvement that I will likely want after my first long rainy roadtrip? If so, I would look for them in local salvage yards.

Third, the vent windows produce severe wind noise/whisteling (when closed) on my '85 Westy which makes highway driving almost unbearable. Is replacing the seals(s) a good long term solution? If not, has anyone tried to use an aftermarket add-on "wind visor" (clear or smoked plexi) with the same angle as the window pillar. Also, the age-old solution of a match booh cover wedged in the closing mechanism for a tighter closing does not work.

Gregg (Conshohocken, Pa. near Philadelphia) '85 Westy
