The idiot at the dealership is looking at an ancient parts film. It was superseded ages ago to N90078802, 18mm ID, 10" long, price about $16.00. It figures, someone behind the counter who doesn't crap about Vanagons or just basic part supersessions or reading the up-to-date film.

3/4" Smog Hose (Not Water Hose Please!) from your FLAPS is only .050" larger, but will work fine.
