Same here.

I sometimes forget to deliniate: my only desire and sole reason for hanging
around the list is that I want a Westy. No offense to those listees who have
'em, but I have no interest in a plain Vanagon, They are sharp looking, but I
love to camp.  My wife has a 1976 self-westified van that she absolutely
adores, and I abhor. It is reliable, clean, and comfy, but it is a van, not a
Westy.

My hesitation in purchasing a Westy is the mechanical fragility of the
powerplant. If VW brought a Westfalia equiped van, with the myriad of reliable
powerplants they offer in S.A., even if they only offered them in pea-soup
green with marigold orange swirled in, I'd be the first in line.
