Hi Volks,

There was a recent post(sorry, I've lost your name) that inferred the input shaft from a gas engined vanagon could be used in the Jetta/GTI swaps. Can anyone verify for me that the standard vanagon bellhousing/input shaft combo will work if the shaft is shortened? By how much? Is the bolt pattern the same?
