I did the wiring harness tonight it took about 4 hours to weed it all out. It still needs to be spliced and wrapped back up, but once the bulk of the wires are out of the way that part will be fairly straight forward. I could trim an hour or so on the next harness now that I have a reasonably positive ID on which plugs to cut and which to save. There apparently is a slight difference in harnesses between '90-'92 and '93-'95 which KEP notes on their plans. I started out just clipping one wire at a time then once I had nipped 4-5 on a plug, chopped the rest off and stripped them out. Be sure to read the instructions all the way through before starting and have a large clear work area, a ping pong table worked great.

I will check with Kennedy about computer location. My inclination is to stick it under the back seat, Stella is a weekender. That will keep it dry and out of our harsher weather in Wisconsin as long as it doesn't get too hot. Kennedy recommends mounting it behind the rear wheel well and weatherproofing it with duct tape?

Plumbing is going to be another issue. The Subaru's thermostat is on the bottom of the engine, at the intake. I haven't really figured out how that works, but apparently there are a few other engines that share the same characteristic. KEP says that VW heater controls will not allow the engine's cooling system to work properly and that the front and rear heater cores must either be bypassed or blocked open. I don't care for either option and will be making another trip to the junkyard to see how Subaru manages their climate control. There must be a reasonable solution to keeping warm or cool as needed that isn't any more complicated than the waterboxer's plumbing system.
