I contacted Mexico about this very idea a few months ago. They said that I would have to talk to one of there dealer directly and sent me list of them with phone and fax numbers. Only problem is I can't speak Spanish and I live in New Jersey so I am not close enough to know where the closest dealer to the border would be. If anyone that lives close to Mexico and maybe speaks Spanish would like to attempt to check up on this I would send them the list no problem. I think the bellhousing should work on our Vanagon trannys too (maybe) and since the dollar is alot stronger than the peso maybe it could be bought for pretty cheap if there is not some high tariff on it or something. I can just see it now Chris (JordanVW) stuck in a dark Mexican prison cell for attempting to smuggle trannys into the US. "Top of the world Ma, top of the world!!" :) Ken Wilford John 3:16
