fwiw, i just thought i'd post the locations of all the Vanagon VIN's i could
find on a vanagon...

-VIN / Year sticker in drivers doorjamb
-VIN on dash, in left corner, visible thru windshield
-VIN / paint sticker under dash, on left side, right above where carpet goes
-VIN on RF longitudinal frame rail, behind rf wheel (wipe off undercoating w/
solvent)
-VIN plate in drivers side battery box under drivers seat
-VIN on firewall in engine compartment

any others???
