Gail Idid the patch it for a while thing ,but used an old inner tube and some zip ties. Heres what worked for me. Get an old motercycle or truck innertube(try for the m/c tube as the rubber is thinner) Cut a piece that's longer than your intake elbow .Remove elbow slide tube in place mark holes for breather hoses .Remove m/c tube make very small holes for breathers(6or 7 mm)reinstall tube on elbow secure ends with hose clamps. Now for the breather hoses, poke them thru the holes you made. there's a good chance that they will seal fine like this. more likely they'll rip(curse now if you want). Take some more tube ,fold it up and wedge it between the 2 breather hoses like a cradle.Pull the m/c tube over this and hold in place with a hose clamp.don't clamp to hard here as you could possibly close the hoses . Now go set the Idle and timing and all the other stuff thats affected by improper mixture This worked for me for a bout 6 months. Good luck mike 85westy
