The baywindow engine bay is quite a bit taller than the vanagon engine bay. Thus one can mount a VW inline 4 at either 0 degree or a golf/jetta stock tilt of 15 degrees. Assuming that the Mexcian bus uses the stock 15 degree tilt, the deck lid would need to modified on a vanagon.
