Gail,

I got 18 mpg overall trip average in my 86 Syncro on my 4500 mile jaunt last month, MN-CA, at 75 mph (lower against nasty winds or up to 11,000 feet elevation), without cruise control. If you have a gentle foot, and your bunions don't wear out, you can actually achieve better mileage without a cruise, as you can anticipate the downhills and ease up on the uphill grades.

However, if I had a cruise on this van, I would have been a fool not to have used it 95% of the time.
