Joe,

I own an '82 WESTY and I have installed a 12 volt OSRAM 11 Watt PL lamp which I mounted on the original lamp fixture on top of the stove, this gave an effective wattage of a 60 watt incandescent bulb, then a 12 volt flourescent lamp mounted diretly on top of the rear bench for illuminating the back portion of the van, wired in parallel to the PL Lamp. All in all in consumes about 1.8 Amps, down there, check out a West Marine catalog, they have pretty neat 12 volt fixtures and appliances. Try www. westmarine.com
