Try using a hair dryer to heat up the old paper to keep it from shredding.

Another (cheap) alternative is to paint the panel after the vinyl has been removed.

Noticed that it's easier to peel in the summertime. I haven't done the paint thing.

I started to scrape away the old wallpaper (or contact paper?) throughout the vehicle as it was old and had been peeled away by time and humidity...

It's time consuming, but now that certain parts are off, I am looking forward to repapering the van...

I started to paper the fold-over bed and realized that simple contact paper wasn't 'sticky' enough and am left wondering if anyone has any experience with this procedure...

What type of paper did you use to repaper? Regular contact paper and extra glue? And is there any easy way of removing the wooden panel from the sliding door in order to work more comfortably? When I attempted to remove the panel, I broke one of the plastic clips and now am left with a whole...does anyone know where to get those clips from (if anywhere)?

THANKS for any info....
