I'm toying with the idea of putting in one of those JC Whitney
battery isolators for charging an aux. battery.  They have an 85 Amp
2-battery isolator specifically for VW vans with Motorola
alternators.  Any comments on these or hints on installation?  Our
van is just a passenger weekender, so I'm probably going to just set
the aux battery in a separate box for camping only.


The unit is cat# 12BF2904X - $19.95 (plus outrageous shipping).
