I don't think you need our advice to make this choice. Spare your Synchro the pain of 18,000 additional miles a year. Save those miles for doing something really fun, not the boring to-and-fro to work. Drive that little Honda Popcorn Cart until it squeals, and you'll save BIG TIME on the repair bills that are bound to crop up if you use this VW as a commuter.
