I am the unstable in wind guy and the replacing ball joints guy. Your comments have been very helpful. What I have figured out is that I should not replace the lower ball joints unless I have to. There is a slight tear in the lower ball joint boot. This will be patched with GOOP. I am going to buy a syringe that will inject lube into the boots of the lower ball joints. My new question is: With the van already jacked up, should I adjust my gas shocks? They are adjustable, right? Somehow it seems that the upper ball joints are getting to much pressure put on them. The boots on the joints are torn and slightly shifted, as if there is a little too much weight on them.

I am learning as I go along. 87 west wolf weekend
