I vote "Aye!" for the service list. When traveling it would be nice to know
(1) where service is available, (2) what type service is available (3) What
type of work the recommendee had done (4) and whether or not the recommendee
was happy with the result!
I traveled from Alaska to Alabama and didn't have a clue where service might
be found, let alone good service. Now I am about to go back, and still don't
have a clue as to what might be available along my route. Would be good to
know.

I bought my van about three weeks ago. Suprisingly it hasn't broken down
yet; this means that I am not familiar with the shops in my town,
Asheville,NC. I will ask around and see what I find. It seems like a wise
thing to make alist about, because if there is one thing I can't stand,
it's a mechanic that screws you over. There are many honest and
knowledgeable mechanics out there. . . Actually, there is a mechanic that
works out of his garage in Connecticut. He did an excellent and inexpensive
job on my Toyota, but now that I think about it, he works on vintage
porches as a hobby. He does body work too.
I will get the address even though my "mother" told me not to tell anyone.
I swear it's true.
But you have to beg first.
