That's why it's nice to have the gauge. When the oil pump failed on my Eagle Talon, I saw the idiot light come on and the oil pressure gauge drop to zero. Sure, it could have been a dual sender failure, but that's unlikely. Shut off the engine, had her towed and all was well (warranty at the time even paid for the oil pump).

If anyone wants to attempt the oil pressure and dual sender add-on, I've done it on the '87 GL and can give a few pointers. :-)
