I'll agree here. A local guy who happened to stumble across my website emailed me to see if I wanted an engine laying in his garage. He pulled it from an 85 GTI with 90,000 miles. Said it ran strong, compression was spec, and it had everything attached, EVERYTHING! Free if I thought I would have a use for it. He had no use for it anymore as he moved on to diesels. Plus he made a new friend.

How many people have had a stranger drop off a free wasserboxer engine at your door step?

This one's going in the 85 Cabriolet.
