You need a copy of the Bentley manual (the official VW service manual for
your Vanagon), which has complete instructions on these and just about
every other procedure.  Expensive, but very complete and well worth the
price.  I sell it for $66.95, which is the lowest price going.  Cover price
is $90.


Regarding rear bumpers, I have a special right now on brand new Danish made
rear bumpers for $119.95, which is about 1/3 of the dealer's price.
