I recently removed the rear deck lid on an '81. The bolts were allen-heads, taking a 6mm wrench. Two of then refused to budge and eventually stripped out.

Although I've had consistently poor results using various "easy-outs" I was sucessful this time. I forget exactly what size of easy-out I purchased, but I _think_ it was one that took a 5/16" drill. Take one of the bolts you've gotten out with you when you buy your easy-out and get some advice from "the man."

The secret to sucess in this case is to drill COMLETELY through the bolt, which you can do without damage to anything behind it. Since the allen head "hole" is in the center of the bolt, you can get started off pretty easily.
